DPS Faridabad participated in the International Lifeskill Summit on 19th and 20th April 2012 at India Islamic Centre. This Summit was attended by 200 CBSE schools across the length and breadth of India. It was also an interface among International stalwarts from WHO & UNICEF, National Leaders from the Education Sector, HRD Ministry and media and young school children.

Guest Speaker Programme - Dr. Gilbert Botvin, Professor of Psychology and Psychiatry at Cornell's Weill Medical College, New York, USA visited DPS Faridabad on April 20, 2012 alongwith his wife Ms. Elizabeth Botvin. He was a special guest at the International Lifeskill Summit 2012 organised by the CBSE. Dr. Botvin, who is accredited for having coined the term 'Lifeskills' engaged in a lively interactive session with our peer educators.

He and his wife planted a neem tree and a sheesham tree as part of a special programme to observe 'Earth Day'.

Earth week was celebrated from April 18 to April 25. Various activities to sensitize students towards the ailing planted Earth were organized. The students were also inspired to keep all electronic equipments switched off and remain quiet for 10 minutes at10 a.m. on April 22, 2012.
